ACV Update 1-4-2022
A-CV Update 1-3-2022
Today’s call is in reference to the latest guidance from the Center of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as it pertains to quarantine time when students and staff test positive for COVID or were in close contact with a COVID positive person. The district is planning to discuss the CDC recommendations and review our Health and Safety Plan at the January School Board Meeting, but the current plan references the Pennsylvania Department of Health (PADOH) and CDC guidance.
Effective immediately, the district will be adhering to the latest change in quarantine time. If you have questions about the timeline associated with the vaccinated, unvaccinated, boosted, and anything pertaining to this disease, please contact one of our wonderful school nurses and review the information within this update, which will be posted on the districts website and sent to your email.
Now, as we get back into school tomorrow, I am asking all staff and students to stay home when you are sick. This is the same guidance that we have asked for your cooperation with since the start of the pandemic. Especially now with the latest COVID variant, which seems to more contagious.
For example, if you are coughing we ask that you stay home until the cough subsides. In addition, with the more contagious variant I ask that you consider wearing masks while in the buildings. Keep in mind that masks are required on all bus and van transport, but still optional in the buildings.
Be safe, and take good care!
Dr. David McDeavitt
