ACV Update 12-10-2021

Allegheny-Clarion Valley School District

Weekly Community Update

December 10, 2021

Good afternoon,

I am calling to provide a few updates to our community.

The COVID numbers on campus for the Week of November 29, 2021 are as follows: The Elementary School had one positive case and no one in quarantine and the Jr/Sr HS did not have any positive cases and three people in quarantine.

The week of December 6, 2021 the Elementary School had five positive cases and one person in quarantine and the Jr/Sr HS did not have any positive cases and two people in quarantine. As a school district, we appreciate all that our families are doing to help keep COVID out of the district. Lets continue to work together and be sure to stay home when you are sick, wash your hands often, and wear your mask while in school and on the busses and vans.

In closing, I wanted to remind all of you that I will be keeping a close eye on the weather this winter, and if we need to start the day on a 2-hour delay, I plan to send out the message in the morning by 5:30 AM. If the 2-hour delay turns into a cancellation, the second message will be sent by 7:30 AM. Please make note that if we have to cancel school due to snow/ice all snow days will be made up, the make-up days in our calendar are on March 11, March 14, March 15, and April 14, 2022. If we have more than four days, the additional days will be added to the end of the school year.

Take good care and have a great weekend!

Dr. David McDeavitt
