Welcome to the A-C Valley School District Special Education Information Page.
At A-C Valley School District, the Special Education Department is charged with providing support services and education to students who have learning disabilities or exceptional cognitive or physical needs. Services are delivered to students from infancy to age 21 through early childhood education/intervention service programs outside of the district or through one or more of the following programs provided directly through the district or in partnership with the Riverview Intermediate Unit:
- Specialized Academic Instruction
- Speech-Language Therapy
- Occupational Therapy
- Physical Therapy
- Therapy for the Visual or Hearing Impaired
- Assistive Technology
- Mental Health Services
- Behavior Intervention and Assessment
- Career and Transition Services
- Life Skills Education Programming
- Autism Support Programming
- Sensory Room for Sensory Processing Disorder
At our core is the belief that every student deserves recognition, attention, respect, and a rigorous program that supports both growth and high academic achievement. It is our mission to work with the staff, students, families, and the community to ensure that all children are embraced, supported, and cared for.

The following matrix is modeled after the previous version you have received regarding the three instructional delivery options being offered this year by the district. This version has been designed to explain what special education services look like in each learning environment.
