Position: Principal

What I like most about A-C Valley: The A-C Valley community is my favorite attribute of our school district. I was born and raised a Falcon and I have always appreciated the close knit community feel of our school and surrounding communities. It’s a place where our students feel loved and welcomed and they know they can always come ‘home’ here.    

Educational Background: BS in Business Marketing (1992) and BS Secondary Education/English (1995) both from Clarion University, MS in Online Teaching (2014) from Wilkes University, K-12 Principal’s Certification (2015) from California University of PA.

Years of experience: I have 28 years of experience in education, all of them at A-C Valley.

Years of experience at ACV: I started at A-C Valley in 1975 as a kindergarten student at Parker elementary and then graduated with the ACV class of 1988.  I was first employed at A-C Valley in 1994 as the Varsity Cheer coach. Upon my college graduation, I was a substitute teacher here during the 1995-96 school year and was hired full time as an English teacher at the High School for the 1996-97 school year. I became the Elementary Principal at the start of the 2016-17 school year.

Hobbies/Interests: Interacting with students and helping them to become the best version of themselves is a true joy for me. Outside of school, I enjoy reading, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and hiking with my husband, two daughters, and dogs, Sophie and Dottie. In the months that western PA weather permits, I also spend a great deal of time on the river with my husband. I am a true admirer of nature’s beauty and spend as much time outdoors as possible, no matter the season.
